Unit 10 : Possibility and Permission

Tommy : Dad, can you go for walk with me?

Dady     : Of course I can.

Tommy : May I ask you something?

Dady     : Sure, what it is Tom?

Tommy : May I buy some ice cream?

Dady     : Yes, you may.

Tommy : Where is do you think we can buy some delicious ice cream?

Dady     : I think we can buy some delicious ice cream in Brocato's.

Tommy : You right dad, ice cream there is delicious.

Dady     : Let's go to buy some ice cream, now.

Tommy : Okay,

Dady     : Oh my god, Brocato's still close now.

Tommy : Oh no, I cannot buy some ice cream now,

Dady     : Don't be sad Tom, you can buy it this afternoon,

Tommy : Okay dad, may I use my bicycle ?

Dady     : You may not.

Tommy : I will be carefull dad?

Dady     : I know you are, but the answer in "No".

Tommy : So, can I go there with you dad?

Dady     : Sure, we ca go there together.

Johnson : Good Morning, wilson.

Wilson   : Good Morning.

Johnson : What are you doing here?

Wilson   : I just go for walk, and you?

Johnson : I want to play tennis.

Wilson   : It's look good.

Johnson : Can you help me with something?

Wilson   : Sure, what is it?

Johnson : Can you play tennis? I cannot play tennis alone.

Wilson   : Where is you pairs?

Johnson : He us sick today, so I cannot play tennis with him.

Wilson   : I'm sorry to hear that.

Johnson : Can you play tennis with me?

Wilson   : Sorry, I cannot. I don't bring bring my racket.

Johnson : No problem. You can use my racket

Wilson   : Are you sure?

Johnson : Sure, let's play tennis on tennis court.

Wilson   : But I cannot play tennis well

Johnson : Fine, I can teach you.

Wilson   : Okay, let's go.

Johnson : Thanks for accompany me Wilson,

Wilson   : You're welcome

Alex        : What are you doing Mr. Hans?

Mr. Hans : I am preparing my guitar.

Alex        : Can you play the guitar?

Mr. Hans : Of course I can, and I practice more than before now.

Alex        : For what sir?

Mr. Hans : I will be playing the guitar in a concert.

Alex        : Wow. Where is that?

Mr. Hans : At the Kartini beach.

Alex        : Who will you be playing with?

Mr. Hans : I will be playing the guitar with merry.

Alex        : Merry? Who is she?

Mr. Hans : She is my friend in the musical club.

Alex        : When will the concert be hold?

Mr. Hans : We will be hold the concert in November, 3rd

Alex        : It's will be short time.

Mr. Hans : Yes you're right, I will be practice the guitar more.

Alex        : I will be watch you in concert. Can I get the ticket? I will pay it now.

Mr. Hans : Oh, you do not pay a cent. I will invite you.

Alex        : Really? Thanks

Unit 5 : PAST ACTIVITIES (Progressive)

Bill       : What are you doing yesterday?

John     : Why?

Bill       : It’s nothing, I just didn’t meet with you. Where are you yesterday?

John     : Yesterday I came beck early.

Bill       : Did you had a some business?

John     : No, but yesterday I had a headache

Bill       : Do you Okay now?

John     : Yes, I am Okay,  I was slept at home for a long time and wake up in the night.

Bill       : Did you skipped the dinner?

John     : No, I had dinner with my family, but we in the middle of dinner it coincide with a heavy rain.

Bill       : Then what happened with your dinner?

John     : It was fin but the bad news is after the dinner.

Bill       : Bad news? What?

John     : When I was washing the dishes at the time a lightning struck. There was a blackout.

Bill       : Did you finished washing the dishes?

John     : Yes, I am. But it was difficult washing without a light

Bill       : I knew that. But you could did it?

John     : Of course I did.

Bill       : Now, you had a new experience about washing the dishes without a light.

John     : Yes, you’re right. It was unforgettable experience.
